The purpose of this mock-up is to show the concepts of customising products
and services to meet customer needs, both tangible and intangible. It addresses
parts of the Acquisition stage in
the SIM Framework.
This demonstration is not aiming to show good web page design. Besides good
web page design comes through understanding how users interact and how they
think and visualise. A company may well have to provide
a choice of dialoguesto meet different cognitive needs.
Note that the user can choose from 4 different modes of working according
to their own perceived capability, expertise, need for a unique product,
or simply their time constraints. At any time they can switch to another
mode. In effect it is allowing the user to choose one of the 4 stages within
the Customer Relations Cycle:
Mass Information (selection 1),
Mass Presentation (2),
Mass Personalisation (3) or
Mass Customisation (4).
