SIM
Partnerships
Implementing SIM is not a one off event. The
SIM Framework and
SIM Methodology show a staged development
process but as each stage is implement, an ongoing development plan needs
to be put in place. This will monitor and implement changes to take into
account growing experience and sophistication of your customers and other
consumers, their changing needs, actions by competitors, and advancements
in technology, etc.. (see the STEP
Analysis). At a minimum you will need to stay informed but to gain
competitive parity or an edge you will need to apply resources in applied
research and development.
These activities are ideally suited for a partnership arrangement. This may
be with a consultancy, academic institution, trade body, or a supplier. This
section will highlight the possibilities and potential partners.
