GroupWare
In order to implement SIM there has to be commensurate changes to the
organisation. This includes staff recruitment, development, management and
motivation. It also requires new internal process that are slick, flexible
and responsive. Such processes would cover new marketing initiatives, new
product and service development, new servicing and disposal processes, etc..
GroupWare is an enabling technology to help to quickly and efficiently develop
these new organisational capabilities. It also provides a vehicle for knowledge
sharing.
This section will look at the benefits and attributes of GroupWare and will
also identify some software packages and web resources.
